MICRODERMABRASION
What
is Microdermabrasion?
The outermost surface of the skin, stratum corneum, has dead
skin cells, which pile in layers on top of the cells undergoing
maturation process. These dead skin cells make the skin appear
and feel rough and thick. Microdermabrasion is a simple, non-invasive
procedure which revitalizes dull skin, reduces irregular pigmentation
and large pores, and erases fine lines and wrinkles. An abrasive
diamond tipped handpiece is used to remove the dead skin cells
by buffing them away. The exfoliation is usually performed
on the face, chest, neck, arms or hands. It stimulates cell
turnover, improves skin tone, and improves damage due to sun.
It is painfree, and the effect is a glowing skin looking younger,
brighter and healthier.
