DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY

1. Warts - caused by viruses, easily spread but difficult to remove, like to grow back. At our clinic we incorporate surgical removal (laser, radiosurgery or conventional surgery) with medical treatment for optimal results. We are happy to help patients that failed other treatments, we make it work.

2. Moles - usually pigmented lessions of the skin, vary in size, color and location, can turn into skin cancer. Frequently removed for cosmetic reasons, but must remove if :
A- Asymmetry (changing shape into irregular, asymmetric)
B- Border( border becomes uneven)
C-Color (changes color, specially turning black or blue)
D-Dimension (growing in size)
E-Eruption (surface erupting, like a cauliflower)

3. Skin tags - caused by viruses, small skin color or pigmented lessions, most commonly seen on the neck, decolte or armpits, easily spreading. Very easy to remove using conventional or electrosurgery.

4. Lumps - various types of skin growths like granulomas, lipomas, skin cancers, cysts or abcesses, removed and treated depending on the type of lession. Usually simple procedures using local anesthetic with no down-time, specimen removed sent to pathology for specific diagnosis to guide tratment.

5. Spider veins - small dilated veins with visible cosmetic disadvantage, usually found on legs or face.Permanently removed with laser- the best and most effective treatment available.

6. Ingrown toe nail - painful and inconvenient condition caused by chronic improper growth of the toe nail, irritaiting surrounding skin, frequently causing infection. Needs to be removed if conservative treatment fails. Nail growths back properly. Outpatient procedure with local anesthetic.
