CHEMICAL
PEELS
What
are Chemical Peels?
Chemical peels are a procedure in which a chemical solution
is used to help exfoliate the skin. During a peel the chemical
is applied directly to the treated skin, resulting in nearly
instantaneous results. This procedure will help improve the
effects of aging, blotchy pigmentation, spots and pore size.

Glycolic Acid Peels (alpha-hydroxy acid) are a group of naturally
occurring acids which are derived from certain plants and
fruits. Alpha-hydroxy acids work by stimulating new growth
of skin and collagen by decreasing the bond that holds dead
skin cells on the surface. This allows dead cells to be removed
gradually, leaving behind a layer of smoother and softer skin.
AFA Clay Peel is a two-step procedure. First, a clay
masque draws impurities from the skin and prepares the skin
for the application of a specific strength AFA gel peel. This
peel optimizes the exfoliation benefits and the antioxidant
benefits of the AFAs, resulting in dramatic improvements in
skin texture, skin, pigmentation irregularities, and the overall
healthy appearance of the skin.
